How to run multiple Yahoo Messengers at the same time

Just apply this trick if you want to go online with more than one Yahoo Messenger login ID. This one is a registry trick so make sure you don't mess up with the registry database. This trick works with all versions of Yahoo Messenger.

  • Select Start > Run
  • Enter 'regedit' & click OK
  • Goto 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Pager\Test'
  • Create a DWORD registry value named 'Plural' (without quotes) by right clicking on the right half of the Registry Editor window
  • Double click the new DWORD entry and set the value to 1
  • Its done!
Restart your PC. Now you can login with multiple different Yahoo login IDs by running different versions of Yahoo Messenger at the same time.

How to rename Recycle Bin?

Recycle Bin is the place where all your deleted files and folders go after you delete them from their original place. In case you don’t like the name 'Recycle Bin', you can change it to something like rubbish bin, garbage bin, trash can, etc


To change the name of recycle bin or rename recycle bin in Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Me, Windows 98 or Windows 95, just edit a registry value.

  • Click Start
  • Click Run
  • Type 'regedit' and hit ENTER
  • In the registry editor go to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache
  • Double click on the following value: @C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll,-8964
  • Change the value to whatever you wish.
  • Click OK and close out regedit
  • Click on a blank area of the desktop and select refresh from the context menu.
  • After the screen refreshes, you recycle bin will be renamed to whatever you decided.
